Every pupil of the Richton School District will have equal educational opportunities regardless of race, creed, sex handicap, religion or marital status. No student shall be excluded on such basis from participating in or having access to any coarse offerings, athletics, counseling, employment assistance, and extra curricular activities.

As provided under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, no person in the US shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.

In addition, the right to participate in meetings related to your child is one of the most important parts of your parent rights. If a parent or guardian is in need of any accommodations during meetings, such as language, vision, or hearing, please notify the appropriate administrator so that participation is accommodated accordingly.
